Artist George E. Miller created “The Recovery Tree” in 2016 for The Georgia School of Addiction Studies. Sadly enough many negative addictions start in the teenage years as young minds are still developing. To uplift our spirits, the artist creates a positive illustration to help inspire hope to those travelling through these difficult roads. The symbols on the grass are those of the words in the trees: “Recovery”, “Treatment” and “Prevention”. Butterflies symbolize the transition from addiction to recovery as the morning sun dawns on a beautiful new and more fulfilling chapter in our lives. “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations”- author unknown
